Aiming to solve financial inclusion challenges in Myanmar, ThitsaWorks, INFITX, and United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) have developed WynePay, an interoperable real-time payment switch, by using the Mojaloop Foundation open-source technology. WynePay is a participant-governed, shared, and open platform empowering Myanmar’s MFIs to connect to mobile wallets and banks in a cost-effective and timely manner.

“To expand the digital payment ecosystem by connecting the dots for the general population.”

Brand Purpose

The Story

Coins have a long history of association with finance. Even in the digital realm, coins and tokens are commonly used to represent financial assets and transactions.

The shape of WynePay is based on Chin Lone, the traditional national sport of Myanmar. Like Chin Lone, WynePay brings people together as one team in a non-competitive manner. This analogy reflects the inclusive and collaborative spirit of both the sport and the platform.

This project is a collaborative effort from multiple organizations, and in order to ensure that everyone is on the same page, I ran several branding workshops. These workshops helped to bring everyone's voices into the decision-making process and ensured that the design decisions were less subjective.
